Stretch Panic (US Release) Scans

These are scans of the U.S. release of Stretch Panic, featuring nice painted cover art.  This was released second in the world (the first being the Swing Entertainment release in Europe) and as far as I can tell is pretty much the same as that version except for the title and voice clip that plays there.

Notes about the manual:
  • The art of Linda on page 03 is from some promotional art for the game back when it was shown at E3. Unforunately all I have of that right now is from IGN's archived articles from 2001:
  • The box mentions being able to use the terrain as a shield.  This is in fact dummied out of the game (at least the U.S. version; haven't tested it in the Japanese one) and projectiles just go right through terrain.
  • There's mention that the Scarf Bomb will end prematurely if you damage the sister too much, though I've never really had this happen even when going wild with the analog sticks (I always figured you had to.)
  • The sisters have detailed backstories and some that refer to their physique...which is contradicted in-game because they're all randomly generated.  I'm curious if the backstories were conceived late in development and they just didn't get a chance to change that.
  • On the note of backstories, some of the sisters like Mirage and Spirit have weird "ideal beauty" visions that don't make too much sense.  I wanna say they're weird translations where they're translated very literally, as Mirage's can be interpreted as "be eternally beautiful even in death like an Egyptian queen" and Spirit's as "wanting to be just like her late mother."
